The Canadian Cancer Society is known to have a active role in the past and in today's society. They are active throughout the year with promoting awareness for cancer and as a support group for people with cancer or friends and family with cancer. The activities that they are involved with are Breast Cancer Awareness month which is in the month of October which spreads awareness for breast cancer and on how to spread information. Another way that the Canadian Cancer Society have a active role in Cancer is.the Relay For Life which is a community Fundraising Event across Canada to spread awareness by walking, jogging or running around a track. With these activities it provides awareness of cancer and to develop fundraising for the society or to further develop research for cancer by getting donations.
