On 1938, Canadian Cancer Society was formed but the development of the society started all the way back into 1929. The society is a well-known society that helps with everything that is related with cancer. It acts as a support group and Is a society to educate the public on everything on cancer. Since the inception of Canadian Cancer Society the society has grown over 140,000 volunteer staff and 1,200 full time staff. In 1947 the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute was formed through an agreement where Canadian Cancer Society provides funding for the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute where they could research and develop an understanding of all forms of cancer. Over the years the Canadian Cancer Society has successfully educated the Canadian public and other countries to have a better understanding of the illness.
